2ds agoPolice arrested and charged a woman with a hate crime for throwing coffee on a man at a Fort Greene playground.
Law enforcement officials say that on Nov. 7, 48-year-old Hadasa Karavanibozak, approached the victim and made anti-Islamic statements before throwing her cellphone and a cup of hot coffee at him.
The father and his son did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident. Karavanibozak now faces multiple charges, including hate crime assault, and harassment.
