NYPD: Crown Heights man arrested following attempted kidnapping of child

Police say a Crown Heights man is under custody after they say he tried to snatch a child out of his father's hands Saturday afternoon.

Police say a Crown Heights man is under custody after they say he tried to snatch a child out of his father's hands Saturday afternoon.
According to the NYPD, Stowe was arrested at Sunday 1 a.m. He faces first-degree harassment charges, second-degree kidnapping charges, as well as being charged with committing an act that was injurious to a minor.
Stephen Stowe, 28, is facing multiple charges in the alleged attempt to kidnapping of a child.
A video obtained by News 12 appears to show Stowe approach a father walking with his children before attempting to lift and take away one of the children.
The father was able to maintain control of his child and the suspect quickly fled from the scene.
