NYPD: Man fatally shot outside of Crown Heights bodega; suspect at large

Officials say that a man who appears to be in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound to the head outside of the address and was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.

Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that took place outside of a bodega in Crown Heights.

According to the NYPD, the incident took place at approximately 3:15 p.m. outside of 801 Franklin Ave., near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Lincoln Place.

Officials say that a man who appears to be in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound to the head outside of the address and was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. That man was later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
