A Williamsburg business is speaking out after police say someone stole nearly $2,000 from them.

Police say the suspect broke into Lavender Lake on Broadway this past weekend by breaking the front door glass before taking $1,800 in cash.

"We didn't feel vulnerable but now we do. We did have the police in here earlier today to do a risk assessment with us about things we can improve," said Adam Sober, co-owner of Lavender Lake. "It was really shocking that he hit six places around the neighborhood that he felt the freedom to walk around and continue to break into places and take things."

No arrests have been made at this time, and police have not confirmed if the robbery that took place at Lavender Lake is connected to the one mentioned by Sober.
