The NYPD officer who shot and killed an unarmed Bronx teenager has been indicted and is expected to appear in court Wednesday.

According to sources close to the investigation, Richard Haste is charged with two counts of manslaughter in the death of Ramarley Graham. The 18-year-old was shot in his home back in February when an NYPD narcotics unit attempted to make an arrest.

Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch released a statement saying in part, "We look forward to a complete review of the facts in this case, which will demonstrate that this police officer believed that he was pursuing an armed felon who bolted rather than be caught with an illegal gun."

Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network also released a statement that said in part, "While no ones takes any pleasure in a life loss or a police officer being indicted, we always demand that the process of justice be fairly and impartially administrated."

The NYPD and the Bronx County District Attorney's Office have declined to comment.
