NYPD: Teenage boy stabbed while leaving school

The 14-year-old victim was stabbed in the back as he was walking outside of M.S. 301, located on Cauldwell Avenue, where there are also other schools and playgrounds nearby.

A teenage boy was taken to the hospital after he was stabbed as he was leaving his school.  
The 14-year-old victim was stabbed in the back as he was walking outside of M.S. 301, located on Cauldwell Avenue, where there are also other schools and playgrounds nearby. 
Police say the incident took place at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday around dismissal time. They say the 14-year-old was stabbed on a basketball court inside of the Dunbar Playground next to the school. 
The perpetrator used an unknown object to stab the victim and ran towards East 143rd Street, according to law enforcement officials. They say he was wearing a black coat with blue pants and grey sneakers.  
No arrests have been made at this time. News 12 has reached out to the Department of Education and is awaiting their response to this incident.
