The NYPD is enhancing their summer enforcement strategy to get unregistered vehicles off the streets, according to Mayor Eric Adams.
Mayor Adams says the effort comes as the warmer season comes along with an uptick in crime involving vehicles such as illegal mopeds, scooters, bikes and ATVs.
Officials say 2023 saw the highest number of confiscations in city history. The NYPD has removed more than 13,000 illegal two-wheeled vehicles and ATVs this year.
