A coating of snow blanketed Brooklyn Friday morning, and more snow is on the way for this weekend.
The morning was cold, wet and slippery, making the morning commute a messy one.
The New York City Office of Emergency Management issued a travel advisory for commuters and drivers during the morning commute.

Drivers are still advised to take precautions ahead of the evening commute.
News 12 meteorologists say more snow is on the way, with heavy snow and a wintry mix expected this weekend.
