A City Council spokesperson says its central staff is in charge of the 12th District until November following Larry Seabrook's corruption conviction. A jury convicted Seabrook on nine of 12 corruption counts last week, after which he was promptly fired from the City Council. A City Council spokesperson says both of Seabrook's old offices will be opened and staffed to deal with constituent issues and concerns until his seat is filled. The election to fill Seabrook's seat is set for Nov. 6. Seabrook will be sentenced in January.
