Six cats in Hunterdon County have tested positive for the bird flu, according to health officials.
Officials say that the cats all lived on the same property.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Shaun Van Doren says that the risk of infection to the general population continues to remain low.
“The Hunterdon County Health Department will continue to take proactive action including educating those at greater risk for exposure which includes agricultural workers,” Van Doren wrote in a statement.
