It's a citywide day of public awareness to make sure all New Yorkers know about the new speed limit taking effect next week.
Starting Nov. 7, the speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph on all city streets, unless otherwise noted.
The Department of Transportation, the NYPD, and the Taxi and Limousine Commission will all be out on the streets talking directly with residents about the change.
The slower speed limit is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Vision Zero plan to eliminate all pedestrian fatalities.
