13h agoOrange County Executive Steve Neuhaus has been promoted to Commander by the U.S. Navy.
The promotion is a 'merit selection' - meaning he'll be elevated ahead of his peers.
He served this year in Europe with the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Neuhaus will officially become a Commander October 1.
