Among all of the different carnival dishes you could find along the Eastern Parkway, one sits a little closer at the top of the food chain.
A Trinidadian vendor is serving up fired shark sandwiches and parade-goers are taking big bites.
Caribbean Street Eats, out of Queens, says if you've never eaten shark then you don't know what you're missing.
Coated in batter then deep fried and served on a pita with globs of fresh coleslaw, fried shark sandwiches are a main staple in Trinidad.
What does shark even taste like, you may be asking? Rebecca, an employee, says it tastes just like chicken.
