Police have arrested a Brooklyn pastor in connection with a fatal 2014 fire at a church-affiliated building that he owned.
Investigators say they caught Luckner Lorient, 78, at a home in Miami as he was returning from Haiti.
Lorient, of the Eglise Baptist Clarte Celeste church, is now facing charges of manslaughter and homicide.
One man died in the fire, and 14 other people were injured, according to investigators.
Two months before the fire, Lorient was given three violations for a handful of allegedly illegal apartments in the same building.
The pastor is being held in Miami. It's unclear whether authorities there will turn him over to New York law enforcement agencies.
