Breast health has reached a Midwood high school, where students are teaching students to take ownership of their health.
Female students at Edward R. Murrow High School are teaching classmates how to detect lumps in their breasts through self-exams. Students are also discussing risk factors for breast cancer, such as family history.
The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education sponsors the program. The foundation trains a group of female students to, in turn, teach others.
