A man has died and another was injured in a shooting in Crown Heights Thursday.

Police responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., where it’s still unclear what led to the fatal shooting on Sterling Place near Rochester Avenue.

Police say when they arrived, they found a 26-year-old man shot in the chest and a 29-year-old shot in the thigh.

EMS were not able to save the 26-year-old, who died at the scene. The other victim is said to be in stable condition.

During the investigation, an alleyway between two buildings appeared to be a point of interest for officers.

At this time, a motive for the shooting isn’t clear.

No arrests have been made.
