NYPD aviation and water units rescued two men from Jamaica Bay Friday.
Police say a 30-foot boat struck the victims’ raft, causing it to overturn.
NYPD units hoisted an unconscious 62-year-old man into a helicopter using a rescue basket. He is now in stable condition.
The other man went to Brookdale Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The boat operator stayed at the scene and has not been arrested.
