Police: 3 separate attacks occurred in city subway stations in 1 day

The NYPD addressed the string of violent attacks Friday morning and announced that more patrols will be added to subway stations.

Three separate attacks took place in city subway stations Thursday.
The first occurred around 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Harlem. The victim was stabbed in the back while standing on the train platform in the 125th Street station. He is currently in stable condition.  
The next occurred in Brooklyn, where police say a suspect in a red hoodie slashed the face of a 45-year-old man trying to get through the turnstiles at the Grant Avenue A train. The victim has since received stitches for the injury and is expected to be OK.  
The last attack happened at the 176th Street subway station. The victim, who was stabbed multiple times in the back and chest, later died in the hospital.
