Police say they have cracked a cold case in The Bronx more than a decade after a teenager was raped and killed.James Martin, 40, pleaded not guilty today to the murder of 14-year-old Marleny Cruz. Investigators say the young girl was found strangled to death and sexually assaulted inside a building on Valentine Avenue 14 years ago.Authorities say Martin's DNA matched evidence found at the crime scene, and that he gave incriminating statements when questioned by police.Martin pleaded not guilty to rape and second-degree murder charges at the Bronx County Hall of Justice Thursday. Martin is expected back in court this summer for the case. He has been serving time in a Pennsylvania prison since 2005 for the murder of his common-law wife.
