More than a dozen car owners in Bensonhurst woke up to find their cars broken into Tuesday morning.
Police say the suspects apparently targeted cars along Bath Avenue, Bay 40th Street and Bay 41st Street.
Stephanie Francoforte says she owns one of the cars that were broken into.
"It's just upsetting. It's two weeks old, this is my brand-new car. I work hard and some children are obviously jealous and targeted it,” says Francoforte.
Surveillance video from one home on the block shows two people with hoodies on banging up against one of the cars.
The suspects are seen smashing car windows and rummaging through the cars.
Francoforte says they didn't steal any items from her car, but her neighbor was robbed of $20.
Neighbors tell News 12 they are grateful no one was hurt, but say they're definitely shaken up by it all.
"Other than being upset, I feel violated, this is my car, this is my property. I work hard and to come out and see this, it's disturbing it doesn't make me feel comfortable in my own neighborhood,” says Francoforte.
