The suspect in a 2015 East Flatbush homicide was arrested Thursday.
Officers from the 67th Precinct arrested 33-year-old Euzebelin Abellard after he was spotted at the Stilwell Avenue subway station. Abellard was a suspect in the murder of 51-year-old Jean Claude Bernagene.
Officers patrolling the station say they saw Abellard because he fit the description of a wanted poster they saw on their department-issued smartphones.
Police found Bernagene lying in front of a home with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, right knee and right wrist on Nov. 20.
He was taken to Kings County hospital and died from his injuries two days later.
People living in the neighborhood say the house was known to have a gambling operation in the basement.
Abellard is facing charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
