Yossi Mayer, 42 is now facing a slew of charges after police say he grabbed the shoulders of a 9-year-old boy inside a synagogue at 1848 East 7th St. and tried to forcibly guide that child out of the synagogue.
The child's mother then intervened, and Mayer got away but was later taken into custody, according to the NYPD.
Mayer is now facing charges that include kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child.
