A man is in custody after a four-hour standoff with police in Brooklyn.
Police say the standoff involved a man who was believed to be armed with a rifle and who had barricaded himself inside a house on Bedford Avenue.
Citizen video shows the moment the man surrendered to the NYPD's emergency service unit.
The standoff started around 5:30 a.m. when police got a call of shots fired. When they got to the home, they say they saw a man on the roof of the house with what looked like a rifle. He then barricaded himself on the second floor.
Several neighbors told News 12 they heard the man yelling in Russian outside around 4 a.m., saying he sounded upset and aggressive.
One neighbor claims she saw him going from roof to roof. Two other neighbors say they heard a gunshot just after 5:30 a.m. Police are not confirming whether shots were fired, however.
There were no injuries. Police say they have not recovered a weapon, but the investigation is ongoing.
