The incident took place outside of 1292 Washington Avenue
near East 169th Street just before 8 p.m. Officers found the
37-year-old victim, Bronx resident John Melville, with a gunshot wound to his
head.
The victim was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital before
being pronounced dead.
