Police say a man is wanted for aggravated assault for slapping a man wearing religious clothing in the back of the head.

They say the 27-year-old man was walking near Flushing and Nostrand avenues when the suspect, who was riding a bicycle, approached the man from behind and slapped him.

The victim's hat was knocked off. The incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
