Police: Man, woman attack victim, lead police on stolen vehicle chase
Police say a man and a woman attacked a 51-year-old man at New Lots Avenue and Warwick Street Wednesday morning. They then stole their vehicle, a 2008 BMW X6 sedan.
Officers spotted the vehicle and attempted to pull over the suspects, who took off but didn't get far. Their vehicle apparently hit a dip in the road and flipped over.
Employees at a nearby auto body shop were working on a car when one of the suspects stumbled in with police behind him.
Police arrested Timothy Alleyen, 30, and Maryann Francis, 39, on robbery, assault and grand larceny charges.
The 51-year-old victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital for treatment.
