Thousands of teenagers may be planning on coming to an abandoned hospital this weekend for an illegal party.
Community advocate Tony Herbert says the teens plan on breaking into the St. Mary's Hospital this Friday. He says it's part of a worrying trend called a "pop out party."
Herbert says invites to pop out parties are usually posted on Facebook and are usually held at private or abandoned properties.
Two construction workers at St. Mary's Hospital say they heard about Friday's party, but say there will be security to make sure it doesn't happen.
Police tell News 12 that they monitor social media for any illegal activity, but would not give any specifics about Friday's party.
Police were called to a pop out party in the Bronx in January after a shootout and an officer was injured in friendly fire.
