Police: Northwell Health employee seen arguing with person before fatal shooting
Police are continuing their search for the suspect who fatally shot a Northwell Health employee in a parking garage in New Hyde Park.

yesterdayPolice are continuing their search for the suspect who fatally shot a Northwell Health employee in a parking garage in New Hyde Park.
The shooting happened just after 4 p.m. Thursday on Marcus Avenue in a parking garage that is used by Northwell Health and other offices in the same building.
Police say the victim was Amelia Laguerre, of St. Albans.
News 12 was told the 33-year-old was part of the administrative staff for 10 years and was working in that building.
People that Laguerre was with saw her arguing with someone several times that day, according to police.
Authorities say Laguerre took a break from work and went to her car. They say the suspect was waiting for her and shot her five times.
Medical staff at the facility tried to save Laguerre, but she died a short time later.
Police have not released a description of the suspect.
