Police on the hunt for suspect involved in Brownsville beating caught on video

Police are asking for the public's help as they search for the suspect involved in beating of man that was caught on camera in Brownsville last Wednesday morning.

Police are asking for the public's help as they search for the suspect involved in beating of man that was caught on camera in Brownsville last Wednesday morning.
The attack happened in front of 152 Tapscott St. around 1 a.m.
Detectives say the victim involved in the attack is in such bad shape that they have not been able to speak with him.

Surveillance video captured the suspect and the victim who investigators say is a 49-year-old man. The victim appears to be walking away when the suspect grabs him and starts to beat him, knocks him to the ground and continues to punch, kick and stomp on the victim.
The victim, who police say is from Brooklyn, was taken to the hospital with severe head injuries and is in very serious condition.
Police say it appears that the two were having some sort of conversation prior to the attack, but it's still not clear exactly what lead to it.
