Police are searching for a serial purse snatcher in Starrett City they say has targeted 11 elderly women. Police say the male suspect has been preying on the women when they are on elevators and in lobbies.

Police are searching for a serial purse snatcher in Starrett City they say has targeted 11 elderly women.
Police say the male suspect has been preying on the women when they are on elevators and in lobbies. They say the he first hits his victim in the head and then snatches her purse.
Women in Starrett City have been advised by police to travel in groups and in the daytime. Police are asking anyone with information about the robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
