Police: Suspect wanted for attempted rape of woman at Shirley Chisholm State Park

A suspect accused of attempting to rape a woman at Shirley Chisholm State Park is wanted by police.
Police say the 52-year-old victim was jogging when a man approached her while riding a bike on Sept. 12.
The suspect then forced her to the ground, choked and punched her while threatening her with a knife. Authorities say he allegedly removed his pants and ordered her to do the same.
He ran off with the victim’s Apple Watch after a car approached the scene, according to authorities.
Investigators say the woman was hospitalized and is doing OK. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact police.
