Water restrictions were lifted in an Orange County village on Monday.
Harriman police said on Facebook that mandatory water restrictions that have been in place since Aug. 1 are now suspended.
No outside watering or car washing was allowed under the restrictions. Violators would have to pay fines or have their water service disrupted.
The police department asks residents to continue conserving water whenever they can even though the mandatory restrictions have officially been lifted.
