Police are asking for help in finding five men wanted in the alleged gang-rape of a woman at Osborne Park.

The 18-year-old victim and her father were walking through the Brownsville park around 9 p.m. Thursday when the men approached them. Officials say one of the men pointed a gun at the father and demanded that the father leave.

The father walked away and that's when officers say each suspect took turns raping the victim.

Police say the victim's father returned with two uniformed officers a short time later, but the suspects had left.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Police are hoping that surveillance video from a nearby bodega will lead to an arrest.

Anyone who recognizes the men in the surveillance video is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.

Borough President Eric Adams says he is disappointed that the crime wasn't immediately reported to the public. He said the community should have been notified right away of the violent crime.

Mayor Bill de Blasio condemned the reported attack. "I am disgusted and deeply saddened by the horrific attack," the mayor said. "Every New Yorker in every neighborhood deserves to feel safe and protected, and we will not stop until the perpetrators of this disturbing attack are held accountable for their actions."

Residents in the area were shocked by the news. One pointed out that the playground area is poorly lit.

On Sunday evening, community advocate Tony Herbert held a press conference saying that two of the five suspects are being questioned by police. News 12 contacted police, but they could not confirm anyone was in custody.

Herbert says he is holding a press conference at 11 a.m. on Monday, calling for the suspects to turn themselves in.
