The body of an unidentified female was found on a rocky area along the Gowanus Canal shoreline Saturday afternoon, authorities say.
Police were called to the area near 550 Hamilton Ave. around 2 p.m. where they found the fully-clothed adult woman.
EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
