It is going to cost motorist more to pay at the Port Authority tolls to come into New York City, effective Sunday.
Motorists will see a $1 increase across the board now that they are completely cashless.
Peak hours are listed as 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
The Port Authority says it needed to make these raises to deal with inflation and continue maintenance.
The crossings the price increase applies to are just the ones that go into and from New Jersey: the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, Bayonne and Goethals bridges, the Outerbridge, and the George Washington Bridge.
The Port Authority tolls are not the only ones going up in prices -- the Port Authority says air and train fares will also go up 25 cents in March, while the MTA has hinted that subway and bus fares could also go up this year.
