A program in Brooklyn is helping survivors of the Holocaust who are struggling to get by.
The Holocaust Survivor Social Services Program in Brighton Beach delivers milk, vegetables, meat and fish to the doorsteps of survivors each month for free.
The program helps around 5,000 survivors each year but says that due to such high demand, some people are turned away.
"We are able to provide services to anyone who walks into our doors hungry, but we are not able to enroll all of the survivors," says Rachel Frich, of the Shorefront Jewish Community Council.
There are over 30,000 survivors in poverty, according to the program.
