Prosecutors plan to ask a grand jury to upgrade the charges against a Bronx man accused of beating a school bus driver following the victim?s death.
Police say 30-year-old Joseph Scott beat 65-year-old Juan Del Valle into a coma after Del Valle's bus clipped Scott's double-parked car on Anthony Avenue last week. Del Valle died over the weekend.
Scott, a two-time parole violator, was originally charged with attempted assault. Prosecutors say they plan to ask the grand jury to upgrade his charges to manslaughter.
Scott is scheduled to be back in court on July 24.
