Troy Ave, the rapper arrested in connection with the fatal May shooting of his own bodyguard at an Irving Plaza concert, has been released.
The rapper, whose real name is Roland Collins, secured his $500,000 bond with his mother's home. He had been held without bail for weeks.
The judge ordered him to wear an ankle monitor and prohibited him from leaving New York City. He must also stay away from bars, concert halls, arenas and other performance venues.
Investigators have charged Collins with attempted murder and weapons possession in connection with the shooting, which happened at a T.I. concert. He was also shot himself, in the leg.
Video of the incident appears to show Collins firing a gun.
