Borough President Eric Adams hosted a town hall meeting Thursday evening on the city's rat problem and how to stomp it out.

A few months ago, Adams hit the streets for a "rat tour" to gather information firsthand about how the vermin affect residents.

One possible solution would be offering training programs to residents to teach them how to bait, trap and kill the pests. The programs would also explain what signs show a rat colony or burrow may be present.

Feral cats could also be neutered and introduced into high-rat areas to hunt and kill them. Rat-hunting dogs are also a possibility.

Adams says more than 7,000 people filed complaints with 311 over rats in Brooklyn last year -- the borough's top-reported problem. In Manhattan, there were 4,500 rat-related calls.
