The popular Jesse's Deli in Boerum Hill, which once gained citywide attention for a clever protest against gentrification, went out of business Thursday.
Last year, in response to rising rents and gentrification, the deli jokingly listed items like "grass-fed tuna" at outrageous prices.
But Jesse's Deli eventually succumbed to the financial pressure of those rising rents.
Neighbors tell News 12 they will miss the deli and its friendly workers.
