Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an appearance in Parkchester Sunday to make her voice heard.
The congresswoman encouraged constituents to vote early as she cast her vote at a polling site early Sunday morning.
Ocasio-Cortez says this year's ballot means more to many voters than just another presidential pick, and also discussed the long wait times that have been reported at polling places.
"People are fighting voter oppression and you can see it in the way people are turning out to do early voting," she says.
The representative is running for reelection, facing Republican challenger John Cummings on the ballot.
