According to a published report, construction on the Brooklyn Bridge will force Manhattan-bound lanes to be closed during the weekend for six months next year.
The New York Post says the overhaul of the bridge will take four years and cost between $200 million and $500 million.
The report notes that the state Department of Transportation deemed the bridge structurally sound in a 2006 study, but said some areas needed repairs.
