Mold continues to be a public health issue for tenants in Red Hook four years after Superstorm Sandy hit the area, according to a new report.

The Red Hook Initiative says the mold is putting residents at risk for asthma, bronchitis and other health issues.

They say leaks that are still not fixed from the storm are causing the growth of mold in bathrooms and kitchens.

The goal of the report is to start talks with NYCHA over what can be done to fix the problems.

In a statement, NYCHA says, "Over the past year, NYCHA has been making systematic changes to the way we identify, respond and prevent mold by working closely with experts. We remain committed to further-improving our methods in identifying and addressing the root causes of mold."
