Rep. Michael Grimm will plead guilty to tax fraud, according to several published reports.
Grimm is accused of concealing more than $1 million of sales and wages at a Manhattan restaurant that he used to own.
Back in April, he pleaded not guilty to tax evasion charges and posted $400,000 bail.
During his campaign for re-election, Grimm repeatedly denied the claims in the 20-count indictment that included tax evasion, fraud and conspiracy. The Republican defeated his Democratic challenger Dominic Recchia.
Grimm has reportedly said that he will step down if his case prevents him from serving. That would trigger a special election for his vacant seat. There is no word yet on if that will happen.
Reports state that Grimm will take his plea to federal court on Tuesday.
