Some residents say a construction site located across the street from Bronx Park is an accident waiting to happen.

Many residents say the site, located at the corner of Thwaites Place and Bronx Park East, is wide open. The claim any child can get onto the property and injure themselves.

Others say some residents have been using the site as a dumping ground.

Community Board 11 members say they are aware of the problem. They say a city Department of Buildings inspector stopped by this past weekend and issued a violation to the construction company for failure to maintain the site. City officials also say they will issue a stop-work order and try to contact the contractors.
