Some residents of Horace Court in Windsor Terrace say new LED streetlights are so bright that they're disrupting their sleep at night.
Neighbors say the lights, installed three weeks ago, are so bright that they penetrate dark drapes at night.
Some are asking the city to take the lights down.
"It feels really inescapable," says Jolanta Benal, a resident. "If I glanced up accidentally at the wrong moment I'm blinded."
The new lights are energy-efficient and cost-effective, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Transportation. The department is working with local officials and stakeholders to address the issue, they said.
