Thousands flocked to Brooklyn Friday for the annual Brownsville Old Timer's Reunion Party.
The event brings residents of the town and families together to preserve the neighborhood's traditions.
"It's like a very festive reunion amongst community members," said Brownsville Recreation Center Manager, Jerry Childs. "Everybody comes back to enjoy this day."
The reunion party started more than 50 years ago as a single community day. Now it has become a tradition that brings together generations of Brownsville residents for a big summer bash.
Those who attended say the event keeps getting better each year.
