Reverend Al Sharpton is calling for a community summit on policing following the fatal police shooting of a 66-year-old Bronx woman.

Deborah Danner was killed earlier this week inside her Bronx apartment after police say she threatened a police sergeant with a bat.

The sergeant allegedly had a stun gun but didn't use it.

Both the mayor and police commissioner have condemned the shooting but Sharpton says that's not enough.

In response to the comments from the mayor and police commissioner, SBA President Ed Mullins said in a statement, "The investigation had not even begun when the mayor and commissioner offered their egregious commentary by unilaterally announcing that we failed."
