A ribbon-cutting was held in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening of 1510 Broadway — a brand-new affordable housing complex with 108 units and retail space on the ground floor.
The development, led by MacQuesten Development and the Local Development Corporation of East New York, sits at the intersection of Bushwick and Ocean Hill.
City officials say the project will bring both housing and economic opportunities to the community.
The project includes homes for families and 16 units reserved for formerly homeless residents.
It's part of the city's push to expand affordable housing through the ELLA program, helping transform long-vacant lots into places people can call home.
