The Rice Raiders hoops team won their third-straight NY Archdiocese Championship Thursday with a big win over St. Raymond. The Raiders went into the game ranking in New York State and 12th in the nation. They also had a title to defend after winning the NY Archdiocese Basketball Championship for the last two years. The St. Raymond boys took on the challenge and gave the defending champs a run for their money, trailing by only one at the end of the first quarter. However, Rice exploded in the third and never looked back. The Raiders extended their winning streak to 16-games and took home the New York Archdiocese Championship with a 80-58 win.
